These include the American Express Award for Best Restaurant for three consecutive years, the Thailand Tatler Award for “My Favorite Restaurant”, and numerous commendations from newspapers and magazines. Furthermore, Zanotti has also been featured in several television lifestyle segments which indicate the growing appreciation for, and popularity of, fine dining in Bangkok.
For many years Gianmaria Zanotti has been a director of the Italian-Thai Chamber of Commerce and a spokesman promoting the uniqueness and quality of Italian products.
He is a constant presence at Italian events in Thailand, from the Chamber of Commerce, the ICE (Istituto Nazionale per il Commercio Estero – The National Institute for Foreign Commerce) and other promotional events such as ‘Italian Week’ and the Italian Film Festival. At these events he is as much a participant as he is a sponsor.
Miele Guide, the independent guide to Asia’s finest restaurants, recently awarded Zanotti Ristorante as one of the top 20 restaurants in Asia. Zanotti Ristorante has been the only restaurant in Thailand winning the award, no other cuisines and restaurants from Thailand have been listed in the top 20.
